Myoglobin, CKMB (Creative Kimose) and Troponin I are proteins formed in Cardiac Muscle cells which are released into the blood upon damage or death of cardiac tissue. The simultaneous use of these three markers in the Life Sign MI 3-in-1 Myoglobin / CKMB / Troponin I test is, therefore, complimentary since they detect cardiac tissue damage over a wide range of times after Myocardial Infarction. Use of Life Sign Dxpress Reader provides simultaneous quantitative analysis which no other cardiac marker test offers so far.

Directions for Use:

• Open the foiled pouch, remove the Life Sign MI Myoglobin/ CK-MB / Troponin I test and lay it on a level surface.
• Enter the date of testing and patient's identification on the test card.
• Using the dropper provided, add 3 drops (120 µ) of whole blood, plasma or serum into the sample well.
• Positive results can be read in 5 minutes while for negative results, one has to wait for 15 minutes
• A line next to the cardiac marker and a line on the control line indicate that the marker concentration is above the cut off for MI.
