Human Chorionic Gonadotrophins 2000/5000/10000 I.U.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a naturally occurring hormone produced by the placenta. HCG supports the normal development of an egg from the ovary and can induce ovulation. HCG also stimulates the production of androgens in men and progesterone in women.

HCG is used to induce of ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary) and to assist in getting pregnant. HCG is also used to stimulate the descent of undescended testicles in boys before puberty and to replace hormones in males with a pituitary deficiency.

Indication

Dosage/Usage

Anovulatory Infertility

Daily Therapy

Start with Menotrop (HMG) I.M. 75 I.U./day or 150 I.U./day on day 5, 6 or 7 of menstrual Cycle for 7 -12 days follow with Fertokath (HCG) 5000 – 10000 I.U. as a single dose 24 to 48 hours after the last dose of HMG.

Alternative day Therapy

Three equal dose of Menotrop (HMG) I.M. given on alternative days beginning on day 7,8,9 of menstrual cycle follow with a single dose of Fertokath (HCG) 5000 or 10000 I.U. One week after the first dose of Menotrop (HMG).

Habitual & Threatened Abortion

Injection Fertokath (HCG) 5000 I.U. for three alternative days followed by Fertokath (HCG) 2000 I.U. twice a week up to 14th week of pregnancy Oligospermia / Asthenospermia

Following priming dose with Fertokath 5000, Fertokath 1000 biweekly for 9 weeks.
